The Hazaribagh plateau has Parasnath mountains at an elevation of 2000ft on its eastern side, a noted location for health resort because of its nature and herbal values in it.
The river Konar a tributary of the River Damodar flows through the town gives irrigation and water resources to this spot.
There are other small hills around these regions such as Sitagarha, Bamanbere, Tower hill; Canary hill and Hazaribagh Lake are the other attractions in this location.
